Cross stitch pansies

Hi
A cross stitch floral band again.....

I've used aida fabric and stranded cotton threads, attached the band to a Turkish towel.
I will be gifting this to someone who loves embroidered towels along with a soap collection.
Have a happy weekend!
Happy stitching!
Anita.

I have two pots of pansies at my front door: so cheery with their little smiling faces. A lovely towel!

The embroidery looks lovely - did you do anything special to attach it to the towel? Like did you need to add a strip of interfacing? I'm trying to add a strip to a towel for a gift an am not sure of how to add it.
Thanks.

How did you attach it to the towel? Did you need to use anything special on the back of the cross stitch to prevent fraying? I'm in the process of making a gift with a towel and I'm not sure of how to attach it.
Thanks

@Vanessa - Thanks for visiting and your nice comments.I didn't attach any interfacing. The towel itself covers and prevents the stitches at the back so I don't think a backing is necessary. I tacked the aida strip to the towel first, then covered the raw edges with a 1/4 '' satin ribbon by placing half of the ribbon on aida and the other half on the towel. Then did a row of small back stitches near the selvedge of the ribbon on both sides.Hope this helps.Let me know if you need more help.
